Røldal Ski Centre is situated in Håradalen, a 10 minute drive from Seljestad. This skiing resort lies 800 meters above sea level in one of Norway’s most snow secure areas. The snow depth normally lies between 2 and 4 meters, and the skiing season begins as early as December and does not end until May. One winter’s average snowfall is an incredible 11 meters, which is much more than in most other parts of the country.
Røldal Ski Centre offers something for every type of skier and snowboarder, whether one prefers well-groomed slopes or off-piste skiing in “powder snow”. This skiing resort has 4 ski lifts. One slope, with the café just nearby, is suitable for beginners and families with children. The remaining slopes are for the more experienced. The highest downhill run goes up to 1284 meters, and has a panoramic view of breathtaking Norwegian mountain scenery.
